EVOLVE w/ Community as Our Heartbeat to ensure that Underserved Voices have Equal Access, Inclusion and Impact at EVERY Phase where decisions are made!
As a Community Building & Advocacy Corporation (Community Building Corporation), we shall work to achieve a 70/30 resident driven model for evolution, influence, determination and impact respectively to that of additional community stakeholders. The Corporation shall work from a resident perspective to anticipate and provide insight into immediate and long-term solutions to social determinants, racial inequities, and mitigate barriers to self actualization.
Through our 70/30 model for community engagement, the corporation will maintain a cycle of communication within the community that involves but are not limited to events, surveys, interviews and whatever other means necessary to stay supportive, relevant, relative and responsive within our community. This ongoing exchange of information and perspective will serve as a resident voice for those who may at any given time not be available to speak for themselves and as a means of empowering emerging community leaders to shape what the tangible outcomes for our community should be.
Through Mutual Accountability and exposure, the Corporation works to promote and strengthen emerging leadership within our underserved Minority Majority community (In analogy) not to just be in the dining room…as meal is being prepared and served to us based on someone else’s tastes; but determine for ourselves what land to purchase, what type of home is appropriate, build the home, design the kitchen, make the decision for a garden, decide what food is grown in the garden, determine the supplemental groceries and general merchandise needed to prepare, cook, serve the meal, pick out the cutlery, set the dinner schedule…Create the guest list, Send the invitations, host the event, then dine with others at our own table of opportunity, productivity and progress.
Are commitment to Serve as a Trusted Resource: We shall endeavor in Collaboration, Connection and Creation of Programs to help foster Hope, Access and Purpose within our most disinvested Black & Brown areas. We believe that “Our Residents,” are the Greatest, Scarcest and and most Valuable Resource of our Community. Therefore, we are intentional to include resident voices along with supplemental expert, organizational, policy leadership and relevant community stakeholder input in the planning process and implementation of such programming.
CREATE New Systems to Equity, the Corporation works to find ways to work amicably to resolve issues within current institutions, systems, and processes. However, in the event advances in these areas prove unprofitable, we resolve to find New Innovative Systems to Equity.
WORK with residents along with post-secondary institutions, advocacy organizations, agencies, local, state and federal delegations to Educate, Promote and Collaborate in the IMPLEMENTATION of Responsible Public Policy Regulations that enhance and advance community-based initiatives that provide Liberty, Investment and Justice.
BELIEVE that “The 5 Thredz of Humanity are: Culture, Health, Housing, Education and Wealth.” As Racial Wealth Parity is ACHIEVED, our community advances through Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. As one no longer existing purely in survival mode, community becomes positioned to have Access to the tools/resources needed in Creating and Living out their own Individualized Life Purpose.
