Program Components
The Thredz Y3 Program (Hope • Access • Purpose) provides youth ages 13–18 with hands-on opportunities to develop leadership skills, explore career pathways, and actively contribute to their communities. Through a combination of mentorship, projects, and real-world experiences, youth areequipped to become confident leaders and changemakers.
Leadership Development
Y3 focuses on developing the personal and professional skills needed for long-term success.
Participants develop:
- Public speaking and communication skills
- Teamwork and leadership capacity
- Project planning and execution skills
- Confidence to advocate for themselves and their communities
Activities and projects
Civic Engagement & Community Leadership
Youth learn how their voices matter in shaping their communities.
Participants:
- Serve as youth moderators and panelists in public discussions
- Participate in voter education and civic outreach initiatives
- Help facilitate community conversations and town halls
- Engage with local leaders and elected officials
Community Outreach & Service
Youth actively contribute to strengthening neighborhoods through meaningful service.
Participants:
- Organize and support community outreach initiatives
- Assist with resource events and neighborhood engagement activities
- Support local nonprofit and community efforts
- Participate in service projects that address real community needs
Youth opportunities
Digital Innovation & Technology (C.O.D.E.S.)
Youth gain hands-on experience using digital tools to support community and business needs.
Participants:
- Build websites for small businesses and neighborhood organizations
- Learn photography, digital storytelling and media production
- Create podcasts, interviews, and community content
- Explore emerging technologies including AI and digital business tools
(C.O.D.E.S. = Community Outreach, Digital & Scientific Engagement)
Career Exposure & Mentorship
Youth connect directly with professionals and leaders across industries.
Participants:
- Mentorship from community leaders and professionals
- Exposure to entrepreneurship, business, and technology careers
- Opportunities to attend panels, site visits, and professional events
Program Impact
Through the Y3 Youth Leadership Program:
- 30 youth leaders participate annually
- Youth help reach 3,000+ community members through outreach and events
- Participants gain real-world leadership experience before graduating high school
Y3 is building a pipeline of young leaders prepared to strengthen communities, advance civic participation, and pursue meaningful careers.
